Air bending only
Bottom bending, coining, hemming, offsets and special forming tools require different force calculations.
90-degree air bending
Enter the material, thickness, bend length and V-die opening. The result carries directly into the BENDRYX configurator as a technical starting point.
Use the result responsibly
Final machine and tooling capacity must be checked against the actual material certificate, bend method, tool load rating, off-centre loading, part geometry and safety requirements.
Bottom bending, coining, hemming, offsets and special forming tools require different force calculations.
Machine capacity does not override the allowable load of the punch, die, adapters or clamping system.
Actual tensile strength, rolling direction, hardness and bend-radius requirements can materially change the result.
Calculation basis: the metric 90° air-bending relationship published in LVD Tooling Essentials. Die-opening and radius guidance follows common air-bending rules explained by Bystronic.
